Context
The client makes handmade furniture and architectural surfaces to order. Each piece comes in several sizes and finishes, and most buyers need help imagining it in their own space before they commit.
Challenge
Photography alone could not show every combination of size and finish, and enquiries depended on long back-and-forth conversations. The goal was to let a visitor explore pieces in detail, see them in a realistic setting and reach a clear next step without waiting for a reply.
Our role
We designed and built the 3D and AR product viewer, produced the rendered interior studies and are developing the AI concierge that will sit on the client’s own website.
Key decisions
Generate every product model from one procedural source, so new sizes and finishes do not require separate files.
Offer AR as an intentional step on supported phones, never on page load.
Render complete interiors in several lighting moods to show material and scale in context.
Keep the concierge bounded: it explains the range, collects the configuration and hands off to an order or a written quote, with people taking over where judgement is needed.
Deliver quiet embedded components that adopt the client’s visual style instead of a separately branded tool.

What we delivered
- Interactive 3D viewer with size and finish selection
- AR placement on supported devices
- Rendered interior studies with 360° views and lighting variations
- AI concierge design and specification, now in development
Outside the scope
The client builds and maintains its own website; we deliver embedded components.
Product information in the early prototype was illustrative until confirmed against the official catalogue.
